Bigg Leap 2017

An Enthusiastic group of students participated in the Bigg Leap 2017 a business idea competition held at Padre Conceicao College of Engineering (PCCE), Verna on 3rd March 2017. The business idea competition was hosted during AARUSH 2017 – a national-level industry-institute interaction 27 teams submitted their ideas and 13 ideas in total were selected for the finals in both technical and non-technical categories. The finalists attended a session on how to propose a business idea through a Business Model Canvas which was conducted by CIBA (Centre for incubation and business acceleration) The judges for the finals were: Mr. Jason Fernandes, Founder, SmartKlock Inc., Mr. Nigel Cabral, Managing Partner at West Coast Shipyard, Goa, Mr. Vishwesh Kamat, Managing Partner, Glazetek Systems, Goa, Ms. Farheen Sayed, Founder and CEO, Brushflicks, Goa and Mr. D. S. Prashant, Manager CIBA. The winners of the competition were Mr. Veleston Rato and Ms. Sruthi P in first place, Ms. Ria Chetan Sinai Salkar and Ms. Gauri S Nayal in second place and Mr. Dhwanit Mahajan and Mr. Rushab Kasat in third place.

Ecell Inaguration 2016

As a part of the introduction to E-Cell, Mr. Anay Kamat, founder, Present Soft Technologies Pvt. Ltd was invited to give a talk for all rst year students as well as the registered members of the ECell. Mr. Anay was greeted by a cheerful crowd of around 300 students. He explained the hardships he had to face to reach at such a high position and that every entrepreneur must 'stay hungry, stay foolish' in order to succeed. The session was then taken over by Mr. Amey Karmali of CIBA who encouraged students to follow the guidelines given by Mr. Anay Kamat.

Big Leap

Bigg Leap 2015 was a business presentation competition. This event was organized by the ECell committee of the college under the guidance of the Training and Placement faculty. The event provided a much needed platform for budding student entrepreneurs to showcase their ideas. Fifteen teams participated in two categories - technical and non-technical and three nalists from each category were awarded cash prizes. The winners were also assured an incubation spot by the Centre for Incubation and Business Acceleration (CIBA).
