The Library maintains a separate Reference Section consisting of Encyclopaedia, Dictionaries, Handbooks, Monographs, Project Reports, and Question Banks. Users may approach the library staff for information or any assistance in the use of the library collections and services.
|Book Lending Service |
TOpen access facility is available to the users. Borrowing limits and loan periods vary according to category of users. Using OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) users can search for Library resources, circulation related details and also may reserve the book if the book is on issue. |Online Email Alert Service |
Library provides periodically email alert service to the users which facilitate access to full-text articles and abstracts of current topics based on requested Keywords given by the users. Under this, the faculty and students have the provision of requesting full text articles/journals of a particular topic/subject, by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org, and the request will be duly attended to.
Library subscribes to a rich collection of nearly 50 national and international print journals and 5 dailies which facilitates users to access current information.

The Central library has separate digital library in periodical section with 10 computers exclusively for e-resources. Digital Library with an infinite knowledge of resources made available online to the users. IEEE- ASP and Science Direct-Elsevier resources facilitate to users to access 950,000 IEEE documents from over 12,000 publications, including 420 full text journals, transactions, magazines, conference proceedings and IEEE Standards. We are the member of library network DELNET. Username and password to login DELNET databases is display on notice board. Students and faculty can have access to many e-book, e-journals and many more e-documents through DELNET. Thus, the faculty and students of PCCE have access to abundant knowledge resources.
Library provides Photocopying services to users at nominal charges.
The Central Library is networked with DELNET. Under the membership of DELNET, the users are allowed to borrow the books under the scheme of ILL (Inter Library Loan) and also can access other reference sources from other member libraries.

The Library comprises of 16 computers, one server for library software, 10 exclusively for digital library section, and other as a client machine which are interlinked with campus network to share its databases, resources and services, using OPAC. This enables the students and faculty to easily access the Library resources and services.
Library maintains separate collection of book-bank books for OBC, SC/ST students with financial support from Government of Goa. Students can borrow maximum seven books for the period of one semester.
Under this service, the faculty and students can access the 28 latest journals contents, as recommended by the Heads of their respective departments. The Current Contents will be updated regularly and displayed in the periodicals section.

OPAC is window of library collection. Patron can search the required books from anywhere within the college campus. Search by Title, Author, keywords gives detail about books and its location as well its availability. Students can renew their books before the due date through OPAC without coming to the library. And also the reservation of the book can be done if all books of particular title are issued out. The list of new arrival is automatically display on the OPAC periodically as we procure the new books. Now students can search project reports of BE and Me-IT on OPAC.
