    ISHRAE

    The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), was founded in 1981 at New Delhi by a group of eminent HVAC&R professionals. ISHRAE today has more than 12,000 HVAC&R professionals as members and additionally there are 7,500 Student-members. ISHRAE operates from 41 Chapters and sub Chapters spread all over India, with HQ in Delhi. It is led by a team of elected officers, who are members of the Society, working on a voluntary basis, and collectively called the Board of Governors.

    ISHRAE students Chapter was started in the year 2010 at PCCE under the guidance of Dr.Jagannath Hirkude.

    INDIAN SOCIETY OF HEATING REFRIGERATION AND AIR CONDITIONING ENGINEERS (ISHRAE) 2017 -18 STUDENTS CHAPTER was installed on 7th Aug 2017 at 3pm in the college auditorium. The new committee was formed in the presence of Mr.Michael Martins – President Goa ,Mr.Hemant Bhandare Regional Director of West Zone 1, Manoj Pandey – President Elect, Milind Sardessai Students Chair 2017-18, Dr. Jagannath Hirkude (HOD, Mechanical Engineering), Ms. Jisa Randhir (Faculty Coordinator).

    Job Junction 2017

    The preliminary round for ISHRAE Job Junction 2017 was held at PCCE, Goa. The students answered an online test for qualification.


    PCCE Visits ACREX 2017

    ISHRAE Student chapter of the Mechanical Department of Padre Conceicao College of Engineering organized a 3 day study visit under the guidance of HoD Dr.Jagannath Hirkude and faculty incharge Prof.Jisa Randhir to the International Technical event, ACREX (Air conditioning & Refrigeration Expo) at India Expo Mart Limited at Greater Noida from 23rd February to 25th February 2017. The group comprised of 24 students from final year Mechanical engineering department. They were accompanied by Prof Annapurna Hosalli and Prof Sunil Pawar under the guidance of our Director Rev.Fr.Victor Rebello and HoD Dr.Jagannath Hirkude.. Exhibitions comprised of various companies namely MSME, Global Electronics, Castle valves, LG, RATA etc from all over the Globe, dealing with refrigeration Air conditioning and ventilation sectors to satisfy the domestic and industrial needs. The students could interact with Industry professional that enhanced their technical knowledge.

    COSME team Organized 'Paper Presentation Competition on 14th October 2017 at the event of TECHYON2017


    The Mechanical Department of Padre Conceicao College of Engineering, Verna Goa had organised a workshop on Basic Robotics through COSME (official mechanical students organisation in PCCE).
    Team BHP and Team Pheonix, robowar teams of PCCE, were assigned to conduct the workshop. The workshop was organised specially for the students who are in first and second year of engineering to boost their participation in upcoming technical event of our college TECHYON. The workshop commenced at 10.00 am with two sessions, one handled by team Pheonix and one by team Bhp. Students across all colleges from every department showed their wonderful interest towards the workshop and thus we had 96 students who participated in this workshop. The basic concepts and construction of Line follower, Robowars, Robosumo, Robo soccer, Roborace and catapult was touched upon so as to promote student's interest.
    The craze amongst the students to learn more and more about Robotics was clearly visible. It is hoped that the workshop provides a valuable first step in their future endeavours.
